What to think about
Hose size and length
Match the hose to the tool you connect. A longer hose reduces suction, so use the shortest that reaches.
Filters
Wet pickup and dry pickup use different filters. Fine dust needs a HEPA filter.
Dust bags
A disposable bag keeps dust off your hands and protects the filter. Change it before it is full.
Pre-separator
A cyclone pre-separator catches heavy dust before it reaches the filter, which helps on grinding jobs.
