Wet/dry shop vacuum rental
The all-round job-site vacuum. It picks up water, mud, sawdust and debris, so one machine covers most day-to-day cleanup.

What it is
A wet/dry vacuum uses a tank and a strong motor to lift both liquids and dry material. It is the right pick for general cleanup. It is not the right pick for fine dust from sanding or grinding: a standard filter can pass the finest particles back into the air. For that, rent a HEPA dust extractor.

Who rents it
- Contractors clearing debris, sawdust and slurry
- Basement and parking-garage water cleanup
- Property crews between tenants or after repairs

Good to know
- Empty and rinse the tank when you switch between wet and dry work.
- Use the correct filter for the job: a foam sleeve for wet pickup, a cartridge or bag for dry pickup. Ask us for what you need in the quote.
- For large floors of dry debris, a floor sweeper is faster.
Wet/dry shop vacuum questions
Can a wet/dry vacuum pick up drywall dust?
It can pick up the debris, but fine dust passes through ordinary filters. For sanding and finishing dust use a HEPA dust extractor. Read HEPA vs shop vac.
Can I vacuum water after a leak?
Yes, this is what the machine is for. For larger water losses, see water damage and cleanup.
Do I need to change the filter between wet and dry jobs?
Usually yes. Ask for the right filter or bag when you request a quote. See hoses, filters and bags.
