Backpack vacuum rental

A vacuum you wear. It frees both hands and goes up stairs, around scaffolding and into rooms where a wheeled machine will not fit.

What it is

A backpack vacuum puts the motor and filter on your back with a hose and wand in your hands. It is built for mobility and quick coverage of dry dirt and light debris. It is not meant for heavy debris, large water spills or fine drywall dust: use a wet/dry vacuum or a HEPA dust extractor for those.

  • For a large flat floor, a floor sweeper covers more ground per hour.

Backpack vacuum questions

Is a backpack vacuum good for construction dust?

It handles dry dirt and light debris. For fine dust from sanding or grinding use a HEPA dust extractor.

Can it pick up water?

No. Use a wet/dry vacuum for liquids.

How do I choose between a backpack vacuum and a wheeled one?

Choose the backpack for stairs, tight spaces and speed. Choose a wheeled unit for heavy debris, wet pickup or fine dust. See how to choose a vacuum.
